Dr. Gianfrancesco M. Villani is a European board certified ophthalmologist specializing in diseases of the retina and low vision rehabilitation. His main clinical and research interests focus on macular diseases and their functional consequences that may affect quality of life. In the field of low vision research, he has developed techniques and tools to support low vision assessment and rehabilitation.
